While Drones fight in numbers they are still not meant for actual field combat. The RsG - Tempest Model serves as means to eliminate threats where throwing numbers do not solve problems. To the uninitiated, it seems odd that the only fighter in the RS Model line is melee-based, however Tempests have the muscle strength to throw their Hornet Spears with frightening accuracy and speed, as well as being able to close in the distance and being able to fly above the skies. In addition, Tempest may be able to jump into combat from afar should they hear the distress of their hivemind.
Tempests are known to be extremely overprotective of their hive cluster, and should any harm come to one of there drones for any reason, almost every Tempest from their hive with throw at least a single spear no matter where they are towards whoever dares touch their precious drones.
