While Butcher models excel on open range areas, they cannot fight in small claustophobic enviroments. The KCM-Cere is the answer to that problem, as they are very skilled fighters that relay on technique and ability over overwhelming strengh and power. They are one of the few mainline Models whose combat who's combat abilities rely on technique and skill rather than weapony and hardware. In addition, Ceres have an abnormally large storage system as well as possess enginnering and software, making them adept hackers and data snatchers.
Cere units are one of the very few rare Models that have little to no enhancements aside from artifial muscles and the data storage bank. Aside from being the frontliner, Cere Models can also be uses as a PMC's IT as well as being data center. The Corpos that do that tend to hide the more sensitive information they hold into a Cere Model, and as an emergancy protocol, ship them out via Drop Pod should their facility get overrunned.
